We’ve gathered some of our favourite walking routes where you can take in the scenery and treat your dog to a well-deserved treat or two.
Grab your lead, your cosiest layers and let’s head out on an adventure!
1. Rhossili Bay, Gower
Voted one of the UK’s top beaches, Rhossili Bay is a dog-walking dream! With its golden sands and breathtaking clifftop views, this coastal spot is perfect for pups who love to roam. Dogs are welcome all year round, so let them run free while you take in the scenery.
Top tip - Warm up afterwards at The View with a hot drink, tasty meal and a treat for your dog (they’re a Dewkes stockist).
Location for Rhossili Bay National Trust car park - SA3 1PP, fees apply.
2. Delamere Forest, Cheshire
Delamere Forest is ideal for dog owners and furry friends who love a woodland adventure. With miles of trails weaving through the forest, there’s plenty to explore. Choose from shorter loops around the lake or longer hikes, depending on how adventurous you’re feeling. Winter mornings here are especially magical.

3. Malvern Hills, Worcestershire
Known for their stunning views, the Malvern Hills offer a range of trails to suit all energy levels. Dogs will love bounding across the open hillside, and the panoramic scenery makes it a favourite for walkers. On a clear day, you’ll have views as far as the Cotswolds and The Black Mountains in Wales.
Top tip – Start at the British Camp car park for a rewarding route where you can stroll as little or as far as you wish.

The views over the city are spectacular, especially on a crisp winter’s day.
Top tip – Keep your dog on a lead near steep drops and along trails on the volcanic rock as it can be rough on paws.
